This Christ message, so prevalent during the Christmas Season - where does it come from? I used to think it was the feeling of relief when all the rushing stopped on Christmas morning. But now it is apparent the message is HUGE, embracing all mankind.
Just as when Jesus praised Simon Peter for his recognition of the Christ in him, and declared that “flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” - so with this Christ message. No Christmas card or present, no Christmas Eve service with divine music, no family get-together will do it. It is the Father which is heaven - and for this reason, Mrs. Eddy spoke about celebrating Christmas “a famine of sense and feast of Soul.”
A deep sense of the One Mind, the only mind of all mankind, one Principle, Love, governing, a law of annihilation to all that is unlike Truth, Life, and Love, all bitterness, fear, limitation dissolving before His presence - “peace on earth, good will towards men.”
