In the Bible, I Kings 13, there is an instructive story referred to as "the disobedient prophet slain by a lion." I have recounted the story and added commentary in the audio below. Briefly, take-aways from the demise of the prophet:
1. Stay the course. Watch for that drowsy feeling to lead astray, to take down your guard.
2. Be alert to those who claim an affinity with you in order to "gain access" - turn away from person, turn to Principle, God.
3. Never trust the one who wants credibility based upon "God told me."
