Inauguration - One God in operation

The news is filled with planned disruptions of and demonstrations against the upcoming Presidential Inauguration. How ought we to think about it?

The first thing is to always turn to God and turn away from the personal sense of things (who's right and who's wrong, etc.) We do far more to support the process by keeping thought off personality, either the personality of the dissidents or the personality of the President-elect.

This aligns with the First Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

Then there is the practical effort to maintain this Commandment: "Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind governs, and that in Science, man reflects God's government." (S&H)

There is no way to obey the First Commandment when ensconced in human opinion and emotion. "In Science" stays above these, and declares unequivocally for the One God, One Mind, One divine Principle, Love. Thought filled with this does far more good than one down in the mud of human failings.
