In God we trust - if not, then in whom

It is heart-warming to see emblazoned across the back of the sheriff's car, or on a license plate, "In God We Trust." In this day and age, many frown upon such public statements. Consider why.

Back in 1954, Herbert Eustace warned that we have entered the "Last Days" - where it is commonly accepted that man IS God! Now, granted, there are not many who verbalize such an abomination, but in practice...

- the parent who relies on the doctor, the child psychologist, the school teacher to keep the child safe, with not the slightest acknowledgement of God.

- the politician who is so embroiled in playing the power-grabbing game so that he can fix everything!, with not the slightest acknowledgement of God.

- the medical doctor who is immersed in his extensive knowledge, so confident in his "science", with not the slightest acknowledgement of God.

- a professed Christian Scientist who uses metaphysics to improve his life and heal the sick, needs no direction from God!

... and similarly thoughout society...

In effect, this Godless mode of operation makes man God, and the ancient Tower of Babel script is replayed, the eventual outcome being total confusion, an inability to communicate with others.

When man becomes God, he loses his Principle, just as in math, where numbers, without the principle of mathematics, would become meaningless. Universal love becomes a matter of the individual's perspective - a la political correctness - a platform for self-righteousness, ignorance of anything beyond itself!

What can we do to escape this carnage? From Herbert Eustace, "Clear, Correct Teaching":

"Today, as the 'Last Days,' you have the culmination of all evil, but not as matter or argument to be refuted, but as actually, the presumptuous claim, that you are God, very Mind Itself. This last infirmity of sin, this iniquitous blasphemy cannot be met with arguments, it can only be met with pure realization, being lost completely in the Allness of Mind."

In a word, we need to live more urgently this from Proverbs 3:

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

And from Science and Health:

God is Mind, and God is infinite; hence all is Mind. On this statement rests the Science of being, and the Principle of this Science is divine, demonstrating harmony and immortality.
