Personal sense wrong every time

The marvel of the Psalms is the use of physical imagery to so effectively describe the spiritual.

A wonderful example I turned to this morning is Psalm 84

{jumi [onDemand.php] [Psalm 84.mp3]}

"Science reverses the conclusions of personal sense in every instance and abides by a given statement of man to bring out the harmony and immortality, that theories have

failed to do. No condition of matter can change the fact in numbers that four times three is twelve; science should govern thought, and nothing can mar or destroy man controlled by science." (1st Edition of Science and Health)

Every instance?? (using the Science in the Bible to answer the personal sense)

1. I am weak and prone to sickness. -> God is the strength of my life.

2. I am strong and healthy. -> It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing.

3. I am poor, and lack self-esteem. -> Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4. I am rich and successful. -> It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom God.  (Apparently the eye of a needle refers to the night-access gate to the walled city that was barely big enough to let the camel through without  baggage. Baggage had to be left outside.)
