  • Tyranny? the people's voice will not be denied

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." (Lord Acton)

Presently, we are seeing the manipulation of the media by the powers that be - to mislead and reinforce status quo against the will of the people and their best interests - particularly in the US, Britain, Europe.

  • Universal Love has no gradations

Interesting to note that universal Love is an absolute state, similar to rain and sunshine (Sermon on the Mount) which have no partiality. Our love cannot progress towards universal Love. It is there or it is not. If we exclude from our love those who identify with ISIS, or those who are labeled as Islamophobic, etc. we are outside the realm of universal Love.

Of course, this does not mean we embrace that which is wrong - the sunshine and rain do not embrace poisons or anything for that matter. They just do their thing, as we must see God in everybody and everything. If the appearance is dark, negative, universal Love outshines it. Jesus did not change his tune when his accusers crucified him. Rather, he said "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." - and this enabled his resurrection!

This is what is meant by "Love is the liberator." (S&H) It is the solution to all mankind's problems.

  • Vengeance belongs to God?

I opened to Romans 12. The following was the message I got: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”:

The moment we entertain a desire to see another harmed for the wrong they have done, whether it be an ex-friend, a perennial enemy, a blatantly immoral politician, etc., we step outside the protection of Principle - we open ourselves to harm. If people spent as much time and effort watching against this as they do "unhealthy" food, society would be much healthier physically and morally!!

  • What's my purpose?

How often do we hear something like: I just want to know my purpose. What am I here for?

This morning I opened to this in Isaiah: "The Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?"

  • Which is more real to you? The material or the spiritual?

Jesus said he came so that the blind could see and those with sight would be made blind. Really? Some Pharisees asked if that meant they were blind. Jesus answered, "If you were blind, you should have no sin: but now you say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.” (John 9)

  • Who is born of God and cannot sin?

We have heard so much about being "born again." What's up with that? It is thought that once you profess that Jesus is Lord, or something like that, you are in! Then this morning (from audio selection below) I read that those born of God cannot sin. I'd like to meet that person. (btw - Elsewhere in the same book it says anyone who claims he is without sin is a liar!)

  • Why do so few get it?

After addressing an audience of several thousand of her followers, Mary Baker Eddy said she did not see one Christian Scientist out there. Elsewhere she lamented that most of the healing going on in the name of Christian Science was faith-healing or mind-cure - not Christian Science healing. That was when she was around. We can be sure it is far worse today.
