A prayer for the social/economic upheaval of the world
"It is 'a consummation devoutly to be wished' that all nations shall speedily learn and practise the intermediate line of justice between the classes and masses of mankind, and thus exemplify in all things the universal equity of Christianity.” (Miscellany)
"In all things the universal equity of Christianity" is the will of divine Love.

Evolution of man a dangerous myth
Based upon the earliest Bible records, the heart of man has not evolved one iota over thousands of years. Job’s pride, shame, fear, self-righteousness, as well as his capacity for redemption, the materialism and sensualism of Sodom and Gomorrah - are these not characteristic of the modern man’s heart? Take any ancient Bible character, and you will find the same human heart that we are quite familiar with.

Living it instead of believing in it
This morning I opened to Paul's letter to the Colossians chapter 2. If this is not a warning of church organization, I don't know what is! This is what I get:
"As you have received the Christ, Truth, use it.

Prayer vs Watching
What might be the distinction between prayer and watching?
To me, Psalm 91 is an ideal prayer because it leads us into a place of refuge, where we can feel the safety, feel the presence of something very good, where we can trust God with our desires.
Watching, on the other hand, is more assertive, acknowledging a mental warfare going on "under the radar." This kind of assertive mental work is treacherous unless there is a moral foundation outside of the individual, in other words, unless the Divine Will is the goal.

Watch in making a decision
"Every step towards goodness is a departure from materiality, and is a tendency towards God, Spirit. Material theories partially paralyze this attraction towards infinite and eternal good by an opposite attraction towards the finite, temporary, and discordant." (S&H)

What to do with a premonition
When a premonition comes to us, we ought to pay attention - but we need Truth to guide us how to deal with it.

What is that Truth? That there is a loving God that never condemns us.

Who is born of God and cannot sin?
We have heard so much about being "born again." What's up with that? It is thought that once you profess that Jesus is Lord, or something like that, you are in! Then this morning (from audio selection below) I read that those born of God cannot sin. I'd like to meet that person. (btw - Elsewhere in the same book it says anyone who claims he is without sin is a liar!)
