Can I trust the media to inform me what is true? If you ask ten people about what they saw of an incident, you get ten different versions of "reality." If the media agrees on anything, you can be sure it is a narrative guided by those who have decided what you should think - not too reliable!
The scientific community has been shown to be far from objective.. The Climate Change issue is case in point, where scientists have been known to lose their jobs when presenting scientific evidence which conflicts with the human-caused Climate Change narrative. (Note that it used to be called Global Warming, but the label had to be changed to a more reliable term - whereas Global Warming will come and go, Climate Change is guaranteed to be evident forever.)
The medical community is so wrapped up in $, the truth is nowhere to be found. My brother, a medical doctor of some experience, came to the realization: medical edicts are politically motivated, and bear no resemblance to what is best for the patient's health.
How about church and religion? Can't I put my trust there, where God is worshipped? Of course not, because too often self-perpetuation of the belief system and organization becomes "God" in practice.

"Persons are not to be trusted; Principle, is all there is to trust; hence, the greater reliability of science, than all else; but this word, science, will not be appended to humbugs, when once we catch its meaning. “Absent from the body and present with the Lord,” were Paul’s directions for a scientist, for this is spiritual understanding reaching outside of personal sense, and material things. Life, Truth and Love displace the material with the spiritual, but they are self-expressed, and self-existent; nothing is wanting in them. Not that Soul is voiceless, but that it is incapable of jargon, or words “such as hypocrites use.” “Let us lay aside the weights that so easily beset us,” for the better proofs of Christianity in love to our neighbor, and a perceptible gravitation toward Spirit, and away from matter, whereby man is governed by Soul instead of sense, by God, instead of man. As religion yields creeds and rites, it will build on the great corner-stone, Truth, the church of Christ. Creeds are beliefs instead of understanding, products of man instead of God. A higher state of existence will be attained only as we lose the beliefs of personal sense, and gain spiritual sense. When we lose our opinions and theories that are false, we shall find God the Principle of being, and the only antidote for all the ills of mind and body; Truth makes man harmonious as nothing else can."
